Hunter is ONE! Wow where has time gone?
Hunter had an Elmo Birthday Party at home, with family and friends. He was really social at the party and enjoyed opening his gifts. I thought maybe he would get a little messier with his birthday cake, but he still had fun with it. At one years old Hunter is doing a lot. He is crawling at lightening speed and stands by himself. He really doesn't seem interested in walking yet, we try but he usually drops to the floor and crawls. Hunter has two teeth, one on top and one on the bottom. He loves to eat, we joke that he has a hollow leg. Where does it all go? He loves to play with his sister, especially wrestling. He can hold his own pretty well against her. We signed up Hunter for Gymboree, baby gymnastics and play time (gift from Grandma Beth--thank you). Just Hunter and mommy go together, it's special to have time for just the two of us. Hunter is such a wonderful little guy. He can be so serious at times, like he processing the world around him. He is so very curious and almost always hard headed. He can get into laughing spells and it is so contagious, we all end up laughing. He is our sweet little boy and we love him very much.

At the Park

There are not too many days in January that we can take the kids to the park and play. Especially after all the snow we've had this year. The kids enjoyed themselves.

Christmas 2008

Portland's Snow Blast 2008

The kids are so excited to play in the snow. We took the kids out sledding in their new snow suits. The snow was great at first then it kept snowing and snowing. At one point Portland measured 16 inches of snow!

Sesame Street Live

o

Grandma Beth surprised Madelynn with a trip to see Sesame Street Live at the Hult Center in Eugene. The 3 of us had front row seats! We saw all the Sesame Street characters, they sang and danced. The first half of the show Madelynn was just taking it all in, she was in awe. Then the second half she really got into it and even danced in the aisle. Madelynn had so much fun, her first musical! I can't wait to take her to more plays and musicals. This was a very special present from Grandma Beth. We love her very much.

Halloween 2008

Hunter's first Halloween, he is dressed as a pirate. Arrg!

Madelynn is Tinkerbell. This is a special outfit because her mommy wore it for Halloween when she was Madelynn's age. Grandma Beth made this outift way back in 1983. Madelynn loved wearing her wings and really liked going trick or treating.

The beach in October

Madelynn feeding a deer in the backyard at the beach house. Hunter talking a walk with Grandma Janet and Daddy on the beach. It was such a beautiful day.

Papa Tony thought it would be funny for Madelynn to take a swim in the ocean... and almost gave Mommy a heart attack. That Papa Tony, he's a character. :)

Hunter in September

Having fun with his toys, Hunter is 7 months old.
He is really moving now!
